Today we will introduce to you TA7 titanium alloy.
TA7 titanium alloy is a typical α-type alloy, with a typical composition of Ti-5Al-2.5Sn. Aluminum and tin play the role of stabilizing α and solid solution strengthening.
Because the process plasticity of TA7 alloy is low, it should be generally reheated to about 700°C to have enough process shaping to provide subsequent processing.
Even for rings, after fully forged, there are still great difficulties in finishing with lathes. After two days, TA7 titanium alloy rings were finally delivered.
